The new GRUMANIA JET MODELS` Flanker is produced from moulds developed from an original model designed and built by my friend Harald Huf . He is also the creator of the magnificant giant scale Sukhoi 27 that has become famous around the world. This outstanding project is very well discribed on his website www.su27.de. Especially designed for the WrenMW 44, this is a model for the enthusiast of small scale jets. It is in fact the smallest turbine powered Suchoi 27 in the world.

New kits now available !!! The new kits feature detachable nose cone and turbine nozzles plus a speed brake cover. Fins have live hinged rudders. The kit is detailed with panel lines and very close to scale. It can either be powered by a Wren MW 44 turbine or with two ducted fans like the cheap HET impeller units. The EDF -Version comes with ducts that are prepared to take 69 mm fans. A video can be viewed at :

SU 27 semi scale retracts (spring action)

These retracts are especially designed for the Flanker and provide a very good ground control whether you operate it from paved runways or grass fields. The main legs are regular spring damped oleos while the nosewheel leg is of the (close to scale) trailing leg type, with good shock absorbing qualities.Legs are mounted to th e retracts using 4mm hardened steel pins.

I suggest the use of the JetTronics operating valve as it is the best value for money (see below).

Jet Tronics operating valve

This retract and brake operating valve is setting standards ! It is by far the smallest , lightest and most reliable one on the market. It is equipped with 3mm quick links for Festo tubings and has an intelligent, programmable electronic which makes it variable for the use of either a spring action retract or proportional brakes .It is very easy to program and is connected directly to the receiver via a GR/Futaba plug.The use of this valve eliminates mechanical valves in combination with servos and linkages - and also the known problems of these systems ! Once you have used this valve- you dont want to take anything else.
